Wilsonia was founded on the 08th of July 1966 by Rev. and Mrs. H.R. Wilson in their Bungalow. The school got its name from the name of the Bungalow ‘Wilsonia’. It is located in Civil Lines and has become an important landmark of the city.
Nearly Six decades since its inception, Wilsonia still holds the privilege of being the city’s most reputed institution. The school has expanded tremendously during the years and now has an identity of a split unit system with four separate buildings and a Degree College. A brief introduction to each is as follows:-

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE……
Is the Group Motto that inspires all Wilsonians. It is this Light, that is within each one of us, that we endeavour to hone and polish, so that the world will see the Sparkle and the Glitter of each Wilsonian.
The Motto has been derived from the
Gospel according to St. Matthew – Chapter 5 Verse: 14 – 16
“You are the Light of the World. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do we light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestand; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. So, Let your Light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven”
